What I learned today

When a recipe calls for "swede," they mean rutabaga.

Ah yes. Many jars of baby food in Ireland contain "swede."

And potatoes.

Given my heritage, I prefer that to the inverse -- recipes calling for "rutabaga" implying inclusion of chopped up Svensk.
