Sorry for the loss. I never read more than the first two or three books, but I know a great many people who read every one and loved them. You, Jaysan, and AJD were the first 3 people I thought of when I saw that (hence the posting in the comments of your other entry).
I have never read any Jordan. I think I would find him frustrating from what I hear. I'd be reading and then scream "get to the point already!" is my guess.
Does he have kids? Maybe one of them will put together his notes and actually write something.
You weren't the only one saying that. And I'm not so much feeling bad about saying it, as I am saddened that it turned out to be a valid concern. It's still a monumental body of work, the good, the bad, and the ugly of it. Some one will finish it, I have no doubt. He pointed it out himself often enough -- the wheel keeps on turning. God speed, RJ.
Dude was in the middle of vol. 12 at the time. I'm sure it'll be published in some form, but only the most desperate fan would knowingly read the unfinished 1/3 he completed (in rough form). Especially with no definite end in sight.
Anyhow, shane b sympathizes...how disappointing to not get to know the end of a story you've spent so much time enjoying.
If you're looking for some other series with which to eat up the time you were planning to dedicate to future Jordan books, just let me know.
